Nestled in the stunning Upper East Canyon of the Wasatch Mountains near Park City, USA, Jeremy Ranch Golf & Country Club proudly stands as the only Arnold Palmer Signature Course in Utah. Recently, Turfgrass® was commissioned to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the putting surfaces, aimed at equipping the club with the necessary insights to make informed decisions regarding the scope of work and budget considerations for an upcoming golf course renovation. This assessment helped stakeholders at Jeremy Ranch determine whether a complete greens rebuild or a partial renovation is the best course of action.

The assessment began with a thorough agronomic inspection of all greens complexes, identifying key factors affecting performance, such as tree shade, root systems and traffic patterns. Rootzone profile analysis and depth inventory helped to yield valuable information into performance composition of the greens mix and to track the greens’ evolution over time. Samples were extracted from key indicator greens, leading to a detailed laboratory analysis that provided key insights. The process concluded with a comprehensive report, offering firm recommendations for the preferred renovation approach based on the findings.

By addressing each of these components, Turfgrass® ensured a detailed and objective analysis of the greens’ physical performance. This collaborative effort involved stakeholders from Jeremy Ranch, including the Golf Course Superintendent and Golf Course Architect, aligning with the overall vision for the renovation project. Ultimately, these efforts will enhance the playing experience for all members and guests, preserving the legacy of this exceptional course.
