Redefining sustainable championship golf in Asia
Plover Cove Golf Club in Hong Kong is a landmark championship golf course development, transforming 53 hectares of reclaimed land into a Par 71 world-class golf facility with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and climate resilience. Designed by Fry/Straka Global Golf Design, the project sets a new benchmark for sustainable golf course development in Asia.
Turfgrass® is leading the agronomic strategy across every phase of the project, from feasibility studies and technical specifications through construction, grow-in and long-term maintenance planning.
The course features sand-capped fairways, precision-engineered rootzones and SubAir moisture-management systems on all greens, delivering consistent, tournament-quality playing surfaces despite Hong Kong’s extreme rainfall and typhoon conditions.
Latest-generation zoysiagrass has been purpose-selected to maximise durability, water efficiency and year-round playability, while rainwater harvesting and precision irrigation systems significantly reduce environmental impact. Plover Cove represents the future of resilient, sustainable championship golf in Asia.
