This biennial, transatlantic ladies’ team matchplay competition has grown into the world’s most prestigious international women’s professional golf team event.
Turfgrass® has provided invaluable and highly effective service as the Official Tournament Agronomists to the European hosting of The Solheim Cup for the past 16 years. Their expertise has been pivotal in the successful delivery of events such as the 2007 Solheim Cup in Halmstad, Sweden, the 2011 Solheim Cup in Killeen Castle, Ireland, the 2015 Solheim Cup in St. Leon-Rot, Germany, the 2019 Solheim Cup in Gleneagles, Scotland, and the 2023 Solheim Cup at Finca Cortesin, Spain.
Turfgrass® is proud to further extend its legacy as the Official Agronomists for the 2026 Solheim Cup, which will be held in the Netherlands for the first time at Bernardus Golf.
This significant milestone highlights Turfgrass®’s enduring commitment and expertise, marking an impressive 19 years of supporting the European hosting of this prestigious event.

Appointed as Tournament Agronomists, Julian Mooney of Turfgrass worked closely with the Ladies European Tour (LET) on the successful delivery of The 2007 and 2011 Solheim Cup Tournaments.
Turfgrass have provided a highly effective agronomy service for the Tour over the past 11 years. Turfgrass are currently leading the agronomy programme for The 2015 Solheim Cup liaising closely with the European Captain Carin Koch, Strategic Advisor Fanny Sunesson, Tournament Director Steve Kavanagh and the host venue.We have been highly impressed with their knowledge of tournament preparation related issues and have every confidence in their service.
