Thornblade Club in Greenville, South Carolina, is undertaking a major greens project led by Tom Marzolf of Fazio Design, including the conversion from creeping bentgrass to TifEagle bermudagrass, expanded putting surfaces and a new putting course.

In a transition-zone climate where summer stress can place significant pressure on bentgrass, the move to TifEagle is designed to improve heat tolerance, traffic recovery, seasonal consistency and long-term tournament performance.

Turfgrass® is supporting the project through specification review, technical input and clear communication between the agronomy team, club management, Fazio Design, members and the PGA Tour agronomy department — helping ensure the project is delivered with confidence, clarity and long-term agronomic strength.
